Bible Chapter: Ezekiel 43 & 44

Because the Bible is practical, here are some statements to get you thinking.

1.  Write one or two key thoughts that come from today’s reading.
The glory of the Lord!!!  Wow!!  The glory of the God of Israel appeared from the east.  It was a sound like the roar of rushing water.  The glory of God filled the landscape.  Ezekiel’s response was to fall face down on the ground.  And the glory of the Lord came into the Temple.  The reality of the glory of God is so awesome that it is impossible to fully describe in words.  The book of Ezekiel began with a vision of God’s glory and how His glory gradually departed from the temple and the city because of the people’s sins.  The book ends with an awe-inspiring vision of His glory and power filling the temple again.  As believers, we have a future hope of living in God’s glory and presence for eternity.  In God’s presence is holiness.  Sin and evil has no place there.  These two factors are what makes eternity in heaven so awesome – God fills the place and there is no sin.
The descendants of Zadok were granted the privilege of ministering for the Lord in the future temple.  Zadok had remained faithful to God when many other Levites had given up on obedience to God’s way.  Because of his faithfulness, he and family serve in this privileged role.

2.  What can I apply in my life from the reading?
This thought of God’s glory has been on my mind for a very long time.  I have often taught that what is needed is the intense presence of God.  When His presence fills any place the supernatural takes over.  The miracles and impossible things we seek happen.  There is something about the strong sense of God’s presence that accomplishes more that we can ever see happen through our own efforts.  This must be our expectation and desire, especially for every time we gather as believers in the Lord’s name.

3.  How can I help someone?
Seek God and His presence.  There is NO better place to ever be.  Once you experience this you will understand and want to be there continually.
