Bible Chapter: Ezekiel 39 & 40

Because the Bible is practical, here are some statements to get you thinking.

1.  Write one or two key thoughts that come from today’s reading.
There is something that I often see that people don’t get.  That is the fact that God is a righteous judge.  I have read about people who turn their backs on God because they say they think He is a vicious God because of all the killing in the Bible.  God takes no delight in judging people for their sins.  We see here that God promised destruction against Gog. This chapter shows God’s judgment against Gog, we see the total destruction of Israel’s enemy. God will miraculously rescue His people.  He will show that He is the Lord by destroying the armies of invading evil nations.  He alone is Lord and God.  The destruction will be complete and God’s people will be victorious.
God gave Ezekiel a vision of the renewed temple.  He gave this to encourage the people that God would restore to them His glory some time in the future.  We see the great detail that God gave.

2.  What can I apply in my life from the reading?
Never give up.  The future can look bleak.  The enemies that surround can look strong.  In His perfect time God will come and win the final battle.  The concept of finishing strong is critical to our lives here on the earth.  We must stay strong in the spiritual battle.  God really does know what He is doing.  He will judge the forces of evil.  God will win.

3.  How can I help someone?
Are you letting the power of evil blind your eyes?  Are you not seeing the confusion and destruction that is rampant?  Ask God to show you His truth revealed in the Bible and how you can be a new person in Him.
