Bible Chapter: Psalms 103 & 104

Because the Bible is practical, here are some statements to get you thinking.

1.  Write one or two key thoughts that come from today’s reading.
Here we see a Psalm of thanksgiving and praise to God for all the blessings and benefits He gives to those who faithfully serve Him.  God is good.  He is always worthy to receive our thanksgiving for His blessings.  God is the One Who forgives and heals.  He gives us victory over sin.  God’s mercy shows compassion to all who fear Him.  We, people,  are God’s highest creation, for we are made in His image.
God is very great.  He is the highest.  God laid the foundations of the earth and He takes care of His creation.  Sin has destroyed what God has created.  Sin is out to do anything to hurt God.  Wicked people will one day be removed.  God will be victorious.

2.  What can I apply in my life from the reading?
The beginning of Psalm 103 is an amazing encouragement.  David is telling himself to bless the Lord with ALL that he has within him.  Don’t forget what God has done.  Remember His amazing power to forgive and heal.  Remember that God redeems life from destruction and crowns with His tender mercies.  God satisfies with good things.  Anyone who can do even these few things mentioned here will experience God’s great victories in life.

3.  How can I help someone?
I encourage all to look at Psalm 103 and study the things David said to do.  Learn from the experiences he had and see the blessings of obedience and honoring God. Work to do what he said to himself: Soul, bless the Lord!!!!
