Bible Chapter: Psalms 135 & 136
Because the Bible is practical, here are some statements to get you thinking.
1. Write one or two key thoughts that come from today’s reading.Praise the Lord. Yes, actually praise the Lord, all you who serve Him. Think of all that the Lord has done. He delivered Israel from the bondage they experienced in Egypt. No enemy was too strong for God. This is true because God is alive and well, He is powerful in the world He created and impacts the lives of His people.
Gods people are also challenged to give thanks to God, for His mercy and love endure forever. The psalmist repeated the same phrase over and over to get his point across. What God does in our lives is because of His great love for people. So, we as His followers must continually express our thanks to Him. His love to us is expressed in many ways. We know His love through our personal relationship with Jesus.
2. What can I apply in my life from the reading?
Always remember the blessings of praising God and remembering that His mercy endures forever. Remember all His promises and provisions. He delivers us when we need. People need constant reminders of the good things because we so easily forget the things we should remember.
3. How can I help someone?
Do you think God has abandoned you and rejected you? That is not possible. Always remember His care for you. Learn to obey and apply what the Bible says.
